The new head of the OFANP spoke to the press, the former and current pope met to talk about the Church and analysis on how long the new pope’s “warm welcome” will last

The new head of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships (OFANP) Melissa Rogers spoke to the press about things she will implement with her position. Mark Silk with the Religion News Service wrote about Rogers’ plans and how she was limited on what she could speak about.

Pope Francis visited the former pope to have lunch and talk about the future of the Catholic Church. Nicole Winfield and Paolo Santalucia with the Huffington Post wrote about the different topics that were discussed between the current pope and the former pope.

With everyone giving Pope Francis a warm welcome to his new position as pope, some wonder how long this acceptance will last. David Gibson with the Religion News Service gave his analysis and gathered reactions to some who dislike the new pope’s beliefs and plans for the Catholic Church.
